“Won’t Get Fooled Again” - The Who

A song about revolutions, but everytime there’s a revolution to overthrow the regime, the new regime is just as bad as the one before.

This was the last song that Keith Moon performed before his death.

The Who

Band/Musician of 2/17/10 - The Who

The Who, a classic band known for destroying their own instruments after a live performance. The main lineup consisted of Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar, keyboard), John Entwistle (bass), and Keith Moon (drums). They rose to fame with a series of hit singles starting with “I Can’t Explain.”

The group is well known for their rock opera, “Tommy,” about a “deaf, dumb, and blind boy” who becomes the leader of a messianic movement. In 1998 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

When Keith Moon died in 1978, the band made two more albums with new drummer Kenney Jones before disbanding in 1983. John Entwistle died in 2002.

The Who recently played during the halftime show of Superbowl XLIV on February 7.
